First off, thanks for stopping by PaxCare.Club! At 27, I’m probably younger than your typical estate planner, but here we are. I created this site to share what I’ve learned about wills and estate planning in a way that actually makes sense.

Why I Started This Blog

Let me level with you about how this all started. One fine evening, after what I can only describe as a moment of post-nut clarity (hahaha), my mind drifted to something completely unsexy – what would happen to my stuff if I died tomorrow.

Random?

Absolutely.

But that’s how my brain works sometimes.

I started googling wills and estate planning and kept coming across legal jargon that might as well have been written in ancient Greek. The more I tried to understand it, the more confused I got.

Everything was written either for legal professionals or by robots who’d never had a normal conversation.

After weeks of digging through dense legal articles, confusing estate planning sites, and piecing together information from various sources, things finally started clicking.

I’m not a lawyer with fancy degrees – just a regular guy who got tired of not understanding something that could impact my family’s future.

I figured if I had this much trouble finding clear information, others probably did too.

So here we are! This blog is exactly what I wish I had found when I started down this rabbit hole.

A Little About Me

When I’m not diving into estate planning topics, I’ve got a few things that keep me balanced.

I’m big on fishing whenever I can escape the city. There’s something about being on the water that resets everything for me. My friends make fun of how excited I get about new fishing gear, but they don’t understand the thrill of the perfect cast.

I’ve also got this weird fascination with classical architecture. I’ll literally walk around downtown staring up at buildings like a total tourist in my own city.

Something about the detail and craftsmanship in those old structures just hits differently than modern glass boxes.

Football consumes my weekends during the season.

I’ve missed weddings for important games (sorry, not sorry). My fantasy football strategy sessions have strategy sessions – it’s a whole thing.

When life gets overwhelming, I mess around with oil painting. I started during the pandemic and still suck at it, but there’s something satisfying about creating something tangible after staring at screens all day.

My apartment has some questionable “art” on the walls now, but hey, it’s a process.

This site isn’t filled with legal speak or technical jargon.

I write exactly how I talk – sometimes too casual, occasionally with a bad joke thrown in, but always trying to make complicated stuff make sense.

I approach wills and estate planning the same way I’d explain them to my friends at a bar.

If something sounds confusing, I rewrite it until it doesn’t. Understanding how to protect your assets and take care of your loved ones shouldn’t require a law degree.

At PaxCare.Club, I break down how wills work, compare different types of trusts, keep up with legal changes that might affect your estate plan, and answer questions I had that maybe you have too.
